Ron has over 29 years experience in the fire industry working for Ladder Towers Inc. and KME Fire Apparatus. Ron has extensive experience in repair and refurbishment, customer service, apparatus replacement parts, building relationships and resolving concerns.

Shawn Smith - Service Technician
Shawn has over 18 years experience in apparatus manufacturing, service and repair. During his employment at major manufacturer, he spent 8 years on the assembly line completing electrical, hydraulic and major component assemblies as well as holding the position of electrical lead. Shawn spent 3 ½ years completing service and repairs in a mobile service truck. In his last 7 years he joined the technical support group, trouble shooting minor to major electrical, hydraulic and chassis related problems. He has spent the last 17 years in the volunteer fire service.

Steve Boley – Service Technician
Steve spent the last 29 years at American LaFrance / LTI involved in the manufacturing, refurbishment and service of LTI aerials. As a certified welder, he has completed major structural repairs and modifications to all models of Ladder Towers, Inc and American LaFrance product lines. Prior to joining Fire Line Equipment, Steve held the lead service technician position at LTI overseeing a group of refurb technicians responsible for the repair and refurbishment of aerial ladders, hydraulic systems, fire pumps and chassis’s.

Kory Hertzog - Parts Department
Kory has 22 years of fire apparatus replacement and repair parts experience. Before joining the Fire Line Equipment team, Kory held positions with ALF/LTI in shipping and receiving, expediter, and buyer/planner for the both the production and service departments. In his last position, Kory coordinated all of the outside part sales and the repair parts for the LTI service and refurb shops.

American LaFrance, a manufacturer of fire, rescue and EMS vehicles, is consolidating at its facility near Summerville, SC.
American LaFrance plans to move all production operations to the Berkeley County plant. The $1.69 million investment is expected to create 216 new jobs within the next three to five years. Workforce needs, growth potential and market access were key drivers in the decision to move operations to Berkeley County.
The South Carolina Department of Commerce, Berkeley County and the Charleston Regional Development Alliance worked with American LaFrance to help grow the manufacturing plant"
